FACES' Adopt A Face program was started in 1993 to enable businesses, organizations, and individuals to contribute directly to assist a FACES' client family (those to whom financial assistance is provided for expenses associated with traveling away from home to specialized medical centers).

The program involves a 3-year commitment of $600.00 per year to provide transportation, food & lodging for one child and one parent to travel to a specialized craniofacial medical center for life changing surgery. FACES will help you choose the child you “adopt” for the 3-year period and keep you informed of the trips being taken and the progress being made by the child.

The children assisted by FACES usually endure numerous surgeries over many years. Their final surgeries usually occur in their late teens or early twenties. Depending on their growth, factors such as complications with bone and skin grafts, there are often periods where surgical procedures are delayed for a year or two. As part of the Adopt A Face Program, FACES does request that in such cases, any unused funds given for one child be used to assist another needing the funds at the time. 

FACES notifies you each year at the anniversary date of your participation in the Adopt a Face program and sends updated pictures of your child's progress. The adopted child and family are notified of the generous contributions being made on their behalf.

The generosity of those participating in the CFC has enabled FACES to make tremendous gains in the number of families that we serve each year.
